Why Waves of Hope?
At a time when many people struggle with loneliness, stress, and mental health challenges, Waves of Hope reminds us that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Through shared experiences and meaningful interactions, we're building stronger communities and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected.
Mental Wellbeing Matters More Than Ever
Recent national findings show:
-
Approximately 1 in 6 Singapore residents experience poor mental health
-
Rates rise to around 1 in 4 among young adults
-
Around 1 in 3 youths experience significant mental health symptoms
Studies also show that many individuals:
-
Do not seek formal support, and
-
Are more likely to turn to family, friends, peers, and communities first
